I suppose I might also be misunderstanding how Resonance plays into the sight maybe things like an Obrimos seeing leaders draped in chains of authority is more 'leaders exude leadership resonance.' Now the framing on being able to perceive the symbolism of the Supernal on the Fallen makes me wonder whether it has additional mechanical weight. In 1E, it seemed like Mage Sight was ultimately about analyzing magical effects to determine their nature, source, strength, etc., and the point of having different Arcana was being able to perceive effects under the purview in question. Some framing thoughts, to illustrate what I mean:ĭoes Fate Sight let you examine the details of people's destinies via scrutiny, or is the information less complete?ĭoes Life Sight let you tell if someone is pregnant, ill, or otherwise assess their physical state solely by scrutinizing them? Edit: maybe more specifically, since you could probably tell those things without magic vision, does it let you tell what kind of disease they have, etc.? what you need to actually cast a Knowing spell to figure out. One thing I'm having trouble conceptualizing for 2E (and maybe the answer is just 'wait to see the spell lists') is what a mage can tell from just scrutinizing something with the appropriate Mage Sight, vs.
